Visit this year’s challengers on Friday, May 25th and Saturday, May 26th in historic old town Boulder City, as they compete for this year’s Kansas City Barbeque Society’s State Championship title!
Calling All Competitors!
The Best Dam Barbecue Challenge is not only a KCBS-sanctioned event, but we are the State Championship that serves as a qualifier for both the Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational Barbecue and the American Royal World Series of Barbecue!
In addition, we are the first of the two competitions that determine who is crowned the Nevada State Barbecue Champion and win an additional $3,000 in prize money!

Of course, we’re ALL about serving up the best tasting barbecue west of the Mason-Dixon line…but what would an outdoor event on Memorial Day Weekend be without ice cold beer, frozen lemonade, garlic fries, cotton candy and shaved ice?!

Memphis Championship Barbecue KidsQue Challenge
Hey Kids! Join us to compete for the $200 First Prize Purse for the Annual KidsQue Challenge on Saturday, May 26th at 1pm, sponsored by Winder Farms and hosted by Memphis Championship Barbecue!
KOMP Radio’s morning team Craig and Al will be our celebrity judges with Barbecue Legend Mike Mills as our Master of Ceremonies, so come and get your grill on and show the pro teams how it’s done!

About the Best Dam Barbeque Challenge
Located in Old Historic Downtown Boulder City, Nevada, thirty minutes from the Las Vegas strip and only 15 minutes from Hoover Dam, the Best Dam Barbecue Challenge is proud to be the KCBS-sanctioned Nevada State Championship Cook-Off, offer $10,000 in cash prizes and draw over 20,000 people!
