Located immediately adjacent to City Hall, Bicentennial Park is located at 999 Colorado Street, Boulder City, Nevada 89005 and is comprised of 7 acres of beautiful green grass and trees.

One of the park’s most attractive features is the Gazebo Bandstand, built for the Bicentennial Celebration, is an excellent covered facility for all of the events that take place during the Best Dam Barbecue event!

Directions from Las Vegas

If you are coming from most anywhere in the Las Vegas area, simply take the US-93 heading SOUTH toward Boulder City. After entering city limits, continue straight through Boulder City as the street undergoes a name change to Nevada Way. Turn right onto Colorado Street and you will have arrived at Bicentennial Park!

Directions from Arizona

From the Arizona side of Hoover Dam, take the US-93 heading NORTH toward Boulder City. Turn LEFT onto Colorado Street and continue for approximate 1/2 of a mile and you’ll find yourself at Bicentennial Park!

Parking Information

Street parking is available throughout the entire Boulder City area, as well as in many of the nearby parking lots such as City Hall, the Recreation Center, and the Boulder Dam Credit Union). Colorado Street is blocked off for the actual event, however nearby streets include Nevada Way, Arizona, California, Utah, Wyoming, and Avenues B through H.

Handicapped Parking

Street parking is available across from City Hall on California and Arizona.

Hit N Run AllstarsHit n Run Allstars (formerly known as Hit n Run) has been playing from Las Vegas to Laughlin for the past nine years and has remained one of the most successful and entertaining bands in the region.

This Classic Rock Band covers artists from Aretha Franklin to Led Zeppelin…and everything in between – so their repertoire of songs is expansive as they play our favorite hits from the 60′s to today!

MEMPHIS CHAMPIONSHIP BARBECUE, Channel 13 and KOMP 92.3 are hosting the KidsQue Barbecue Challenge, which is being sponsored by WINDER FARMS.

CLUB FORTUNE is not only supporting the event with a contribution, but has generously included us in their marketing material.

BOULDER CITY SOCIAL is sponsoring the Police vs. Fireman’s Rib Eating Contest and running a fundraising raffle for Noon Rotary from their booth — prizes will be a 50/50 cash split, a week’s stay at a condo in Mexico and a Deluxe Grand Canyon trip for two!

We must receive a minimum of 15 paid registrations before May 10th or the class will be canceled and the registration fees refunded.  Click here for more information on how you can become a KCBS judge and be qualified to judge not only the Best Dam Barbecue Challenge, but KCBS events all over the country!

In making this decision, our goal was to bring the focus back to the four individual competitions sanctioned by KCBS — Chicken, Ribs, Brisket and Pork.

The prize money that was formerly allocated to the Anything Butt and Dessert competitions has been rolled over into the barbecue competitions.

We’ve not only kicked the design up a notch, but have added a host of new features throughout the site…we hope you are already enjoying it!

Our new website will allow us to manage the website’s content more easily, so we’ll be able to not only keep it better updated in the future…but add on a lot of great new features, such as sponsor and vendor logos with links to their websites and information about their businesses.

For our competitors, we’ll be getting a lot more information from you this year so that we can recognize both the effort and the support your participation gives to the Best Dam Barbecue Challenge!
