Cash Prize Distributions

The Best Dam Barbecue Challenge competitors are serious about their barbecue! Each Memorial Day Weekend, they battle it out for not only their places in the list of Top 10 Finalists, but their share of $10,000 in prize money!

Each of the four KCBS-sanctioned individual competitions provide an opportunity to win varying amounts of cash prizes, per the prize distribution list below. Those results are compiled into overall scores for the event, with our Second Place overall winner being awarded the title of Reserve Grand Champion, which carries a $1,500 cash prize and a trophy. And our most prestigious award goes to our First Place winner, who receives the title of Grand Champion, as well as a trophy and free entry into the following year’s competition.

Competitor Only Raffle Prizes!

Grand Canyon This year, we wanted to include some raffle prizes for our competitors…just as our way of saying thanks for being a part of our event. There is no charge to be entered in the raffle…each team will receive a single ticket on Friday afternoon.

We’ll be adding prizes over the next few months, so keep an eye out to find out what you might be able to win…well, everyone but the winners of the Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion titles…you get all that prize money, so we’re saving the prizes for the other competitors!

Raffle Prize #1: Grand Canyon Deluxe Tour for Two!
