Barbecue, Festival Food & Marketplace Vendors

We've Got Guests Ready To Eat and Shop!

team memberOf course, we're ALL about serving up the best tasting barbecue west of the Mason-Dixon line…but what would an outdoor event on Memorial Day Weekend in beautiful Boulder City, Nevada be without ice cold beer, frozen lemonade, ribbon fries, funnel cake, cotton candy and shaved ice?!

Are you a food or non-food vendor interested in being a part of the Best Dam Barbecue Challenge on Memorial Day Weekend?

Barbecue Food Vendors

team memberPeople arrive at our event hungry for great tasting barbecue, which is why we approve up to five Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned competition teams to smoke enough meat to serve thousands of our guests.

We will once again have some of the same barbecue vendors who have been with us since the beginning, but we are always looking for new teams who would like to smoke like there is no tomorrow and feed the crowds as they enjoy our event.

With the exception of the Rotary Grill (which serves children's plates with hamburgers or hot dogs), our barbecue vendors have the exclusive on all meat dishes at our event and are the only vendors authorized to serve chicken, ribs, pork and/or brisket. Barbecue vendors may not serve hamburgers, hot dogs or sausage of any kind, but may sell side dishes and water, soda, lemonade and iced tea. Menus must be approved in advance of being submitted to the Nevada Department of Health prior to the event.

The Barbecue Food vending fee (NOT the Festival Food or Marketplace vending fees) will be a flat fee of $725 with no percentage of sales, however all barbeque vending teams are required to pay the separate competition entry fee of $325. If less than 28 teams compete, Vendor/Team must submit entries for all four categories. If more than 28 teams compete, turn-ins are optional (no competition fees will be refunded).

Barbecue Vending booth sizes are 50-feet wide (and 15-feet deep).

The City of Boulder City is now requiring all food vendor and competition booths to be equipped with both a 5 lb. ABC fire extinguisher and a Class K fire extinguisher. Fire extinguishers must be in plain view and easily accessible, in case of emergency. Smoking within vendor spaces is prohibited. Boulder City Fire Department will conduct inspections prior to and during the event to ensure compliance.

We will begin accepting Barbecue Food Vendor Applications in January, so if you would like to be notified when applications become available for download on this website, please send us an email by clicking here.

Festival Food Vendors

team memberFunnel Cake, Shaved Ice, Cotton Candy...nothing makes an outdoor summer event in the park like Festival Food!

While are barbecue vendors and the Rotary Grill have the exclusive on all types of meat at our event, we offer exclusive vending opportunities to a handful of festival/snack food vendors. No two vendors will be permitted to sell the same type of snack food, although all vendors may sell water, soda, lemonade and iced tea.

Our Festival Food (NOT the Barbecue Food or Marketplace vending fees) vending fee will be a flat fee of $525 with no percentage of sales and includes a single 20-amp power supply. Generators (during daytime hours only) may be approved on a case-by-case basis (please inquire). If approved, generators must operate at a noise level of 90 decibels or below, be surrounded by a (small garden) fence to avoid a trip hazard and be located a minimum of 20’ from the cooking source.

All booths are 10-feet wide by 15-feet deep, a distance strictly enforced by the Boulder City Fire Department.

team memberWhat's the best thing to do before eating all that delicous food? Walk around and build up an appetite, of course!

Standard Marketplace booth sizes are 10-feet x 10-feet. Stakes may NOT be used, as damage to the public park's irrigation system might occur.
